Dermalogica Charcoal Rescue Masque Review Dry Skin

The people that are consistent with their masking routine always amaze me. I barely can remember to do one once a week lately, even though I desperately want to treat my skin to some pampering. But once a mask makes me see a difference in my skin immediately, it urges me to up my masking game.

The Dermalogica Charcoal Rescue Masque ($60 CDN) just happens to be one of those masks.

Mani Monday: Emmys Red Carpet Inspired

On Sunday night, the Emmy Awards aired and the red carpet was full of some amazing fashion! As always, what we see the celebrities wear can serve as inspiration for nail art.

Jane Krakowski wore a stunning dress by Bibhu Mohapatra that featured some great details over the vibrant purple-blue shade. The details can be easily replicated by using a few different nail polishes and a dotting tool.

Review: Anew AHA Skincare*

If there's one thing I truly love in skincare, it's AHAs. I really enjoy trying out a multitude of products that act as chemical exfoliants to help resurface my skin and make it as soft as ever.

While I do have my favourite products already in place, I will always be open to trying more AHAs. So when two products from Avon came to my doorstep to try out, I knew I had to give them a good go. I've been trying out the Anew AHA Refining Cream ($32 CDN) and the Anew Clinical Extra Strength Retexturizing Peel ($32 CDN) for the past couple of weeks now.

THEFACESHOP Hwansaenggo Escargot Skincare Review Snail Mucus Skin

Snails? In your skincare? Sounds weird right? Well THEFACESHOP has delved into this world and created a line of skincare that contains snail mucus filtrate (if you want it to sound fancy you can say escargot instead).

The Hwansaenggo Escargot skincare line is a higher end line within THEFACESHOP and features both the snail mucus filtrate and 24K gold in its products. The combination promises to firm, regenerate and improve elasticity of the skin. The line contains a cleanser, cream, emulsion, eye cream, serum, toner, and masks.

The packaging reflects the higher price tag and is so lovely to sit on my bathroom sink. It has substantial weight and intricate details on the lids. The best part though is that both products I've been trying have pumps (definitely my preference when it comes to skincare products).

I've been trying out the serum and toner for the past couple of weeks and I have to say that I don't mind having snail mucus and 24K gold slathered all over my skin.

Polka Dot and Rose Nail Art Design Step by Step Instructions Easy Nail Polish

There is just something so classic and feminine about the combination of roses and polka dots. While these prints are constantly seen on the streets and runways, they can also make an appearance on your nails. The even more classic background of black makes this mix and match pattern nail art design work even more perfectly.

CND Fall 2016 Craft Culture Collection Swatches Review Denim Patch Oxblood Brick Knit Patina Buckle Fern Flannel Brass Button Leather Satchel Hand Fired

I've been holding back on publishing this post for a little bit. Not because of the quality of the polishes (they are pretty darn great), but because I didn't want to think about Fall.

The Fall Collection from CND is inspired by hand-craft artistry and their earthy colours and natural textures. The collection is comprised of both CND Shellac and Vinylux polishes (6 and 8 shades respectively). Vinylux polishes are available for purchase and retail for $10.50.

I have swatches of all 8 Vinylux polishes from the CND Craft Culture Fall Collection. All swatches are 2 coats unless otherwise noted.

Easy Waterfall Nail Art Design

The waterfall technique is another easy to do nail art design that can be customized to incorporate any colour you want. This technique is simply creating lines that radiate down from the base of the nail and looks best if 3 colours are used.
