I wear nail polish 24/7, 365 days a year. A lot of people give me grief about how my nails need to breathe and to take breaks from polish. I usually just ignore this but now I can have a comeback from time to time.
The Quo by Orly Breathable Nail Treatment and Color polishes are a way to take a "break" from nail polish without having bare nails. Enriched with argan oil, pro-vitamin B5 and vitamin C, these polishes nourish the nail from the outside in.
This week I have my Top 5 Most Worn Lipsticks which not surprisingly are all neutrals. Remember to subscribe if you haven't already!
I can admit it. I don't like cream eyeshadows all that much. It takes a certain kind of formula for me to want to reach for them. The Maybelline Color Tattoos are one of those formulas and I have to say the Avon Extra Lasting Eyeshadow Ink ($14 CDN) might be as well.
Not only was the formula something that I enjoyed, but the shades were the real standout. Just look at that teal and red shade!
Awhile back one of the latest collaborations between Becca and Jaclyn Hill hit shelves. The Champagne Collection Face Palette features 3 blushes and 2 highlighters, all together in white and gold packaging.
I've been using this palette for a fair amount now and wanted to share my thoughts (even though this was limited edition).
til next time...
The 2016 Summer Olympic games have finally arrived and as you cheer on Team Canada you can sport this fun mani. Now if your hand isn't that steady, you can forgo the Olympic rings but they are a really fun and colourful challenge.
Be inspired by the medals (which Canada will hopefully win plenty of) and paint your nails gold, silver and bronze.
Recently OPI released a limited edition collection of nude shades from the Infinite Shine line of polishes. This line features three steps: Primer, Lacquer, and Gloss. Combine all three and you get a long lasting, high shine mani.
Now while I didn't not try the entire system, I can say that these nail polishes are different in formulation than the regular OPI line. The formula is thicker and takes a bit longer to self-level. But I can also say that the shine is unbeatable with these. Because of the thicker formula, I did find that these were harder to work with. Streaking was an issue at times and it was somewhat hard to get a thin coat of polish.
Some shades are better than others. The swatches below are 2 coats each. Now I do have to apologize, I swatched these polishes over a number of different days and just couldn't get the colouring of my hands the same. However, these swatches are true to colour for what was on the nail itself so just look past the inconsistency.
